Local Beach Clean Up - Mike S
This April, I was lucky enough to join the Zeigler Subaru of Schererville team for their second annual beach cleanup. A fantastic crew gathered at Marquette Park Beach in Gary, IN, spending a few hours along the shoreline collecting and properly disposing of trash. Together, we removed over 100 pounds of trash and waste! It was an incredible experience to be part of something bigger for our local environment. Thank you to the Zeigler Subaru team for hosting—I'm already looking forward to next year!
Bringing Comfort and Joy to Comer Children's Hospital - Mary G
A thoughtful gesture can go a long way, especially for children and families navigating the challenges of cancer treatment. This year's Subaru Loves to Care delivery at UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital offered a meaningful reminder that patients and their families are surrounded by a community that cares about them and is cheering them on throughout their journey. Through the partnership between Zeigler Subaru of Schererville and UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital, blankets and care items were delivered to bring comfort, warmth, and encouragement to children receiving treatment. While these gifts may seem simple, they carry a powerful message: you are not alone, and your community is standing beside you. We are incredibly grateful to the team at Zeigler Subaru of Schererville for bringing generosity, compassion, and heart to this year's Subaru Loves to Care initiative. Their commitment to supporting local children and families demonstrates the incredible impact that can happen when businesses choose to invest in the well-being of their community. For children spending time in the hospital, moments of normalcy, comfort, and joy can mean so much. A cozy blanket and a thoughtful gift can offer a bright spot in an otherwise difficult day, while reminding young patients and their families that people are thinking of them and rooting for them. Together, Zeigler Subaru of Schererville and UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital helped turn a simple delivery into something much more—a meaningful expression of kindness, connection, and hope. A 3-Year Love Promise Story - Kiany G
2026 made Next Move's and Zeigler Subaru's third year of working together to bring coats and shoes to our community in Chicago's south suburbs. This year, we decided to host the event at our local Lansing Public Library to offer more space and better flow for participants. It was wonderful to see how excited the children were to receive their new coats! One of our favorite parts of the event was not only the joy the community shared with us but the joy we saw from the Subaru team as well. Our team is so excited every year this event comes around because of how much we love working with them. Another favorite moment was when several coat recipients decided to come together and draw on the message board together! They were having so much fun drawing and laughing, they brought a smile to the face of every single volunteer present. We hope to continue working with this amazing team and bring more smiles to the community in the future!
TradeWinds Food Pantry Partnership - Olga E
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Zeigler Subaru of Schererville collected over 2,000 items for the Tradewinds Food Pantry. We're so grateful to everyone who contributed and proud to support families right here in our hometown.Thank you for helping make our first initiative as new partners such a success. Subaru Loves Pets: Trunk or Treat - Angela M
This year marks our second partnership with Zeigler Subaru of Schererville, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support. Their generosity has made a significant impact on our mission to help pets find loving homes and enhance the overall experience for our community. Through their contributions, we have been able to provide New Pet Parent Kits and “Chewbaru” toys, helping to ensure our pets are more comfortable during their stay and that their adopters are better prepared to welcome them home. We extend our sincere appreciation to the entire team at Zeigler Subaru of Schererville for their ongoing commitment to our shelter and the animals we serve!
Subaru Loves Learning: Jonas E. Salk Elementary - Nicholas P
Zeigler Subaru Schererville, On behalf of the students, staff, and administration of Jonas E. Salk Elementary School, we extend our most sincere gratitude for your incredibly generous donation of $7,500 for classroom supplies. This support, which directly benefited fifteen of our most dedicated teachers, and was an extraordinary surprise to them. The impact of this gift is immediate and substantial. During a recent teacher meeting, our teachers were surprised with the funds, translating to $500 per teacher to purchase essential learning materials. Beyond the monetary contribution, the accompanying supply kits, filled with items like crayons, pencils, and wipes, further demonstrated your commitment to our school. This donation is critical in helping our teachers manage the rising costs associated with equipping classroom. By providing these funds, you are directly helping to offset the significant out-of-pocket expenses that our educators often incur annually. Our teachers have already highlighted that the funds will be used strategically to meet specific student needs, including the purchase of dry-erase boards, markers, and manipulatives necessary for enhancing collaborative learning stations. Zeigler Subaru of Schererville Supports Next Move - Lansing, IL - Joshua S
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Schererville, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Zeigler Subaru of Schererville is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Zeigler Subaru of Schererville have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/19/2025, Zeigler Subaru of Schererville donated 120 shoes/socks to Next Move - Lansing, IL. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Subaru Loves to Care - Rylee H
For the past 3-4 years, Zeigler Auto Group in Schererville, IN has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Comer Children's Hospital through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to pediatric cancer patients. On June 17th, 2025, Zeigler Auto Group personally delivered these care packages to the nurses at the entrance of the children's hospital.

I recently took part in a blood drive hosted by my local Subaru retailer, and it was such a rewarding experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made everything easy and welcoming. It was clear they truly cared about making a difference. What stood out most was how many people showed up—employees, customers, even walk-ins from the community. Everyone was there for one simple reason: to help others. It reminded me how powerful small acts of kindness can be, and how much good can come from businesses that care.
